Contract:

Contract value is £8m over a four-year period.

History:

Newburgh had the capability to produce the prototype parts in our existing core machining facility. We suggested to our customer that cellular manufacture was the correct route for future production quantities. After producing a detailed cost model for the cell and identifying the correct machinery, equipment and processes we shared this information with the customer. A long term contract was negotiated which justified our investment and gave the customer guaranteed security of supply. The cell is now fully operational and product quality is outstanding with deliveries continually to program.
