Flying Visit By Duke

Newburgh's £5million plant in Bessemer Way, Rotherham, was formally opened by HRH the Duke of York. The Duke arrived by helicopter and was shown round the plant by managing director, Vince Middleton (Pictured with the Duke). Among the people he met were Peter Middleton, chairman of holding company, and members of staff in the Vetco, Doncasters FVC, BNFL and Sondex cells. He later unveiled a commemorative plaque in the reception area, which had been made in the factory.
