Newburgh Engineering confirms senior leadership team to drive next phase of growth

Newburgh Engineering, the employee-owned precision engineering company based in Bradwell, Derbyshire, has confirmed its senior management team as it builds on more than 85 years of heritage and sets its sights on the future.

The announcement follows the company’s return to the Newburgh Engineering name in June 2026. It brings together a leadership team with deep engineering experience, strong operational expertise and a shared commitment to continuous improvement.

The team is led by Managing Director Matt Keeley, alongside Operations Director Paul Wildgoose, Production Manager Andrew Elliott, Quality Manager Adam Hadfield and Business Systems Manager Jonathan Todd. Together, they will lead the next stage of Newburgh’s development. Their priorities are to strengthen its manufacturing capability, invest in technology and grow its presence in the nuclear, defence, aerospace and other high-integrity sectors.

Experienced leadership, focused on operational excellence

Matt Keeley continues as Managing Director and sets the company’s strategic direction. Under his leadership, Newburgh is building on its long-standing reputation for precision engineering and for delivering complex manufacturing solutions.

Paul Wildgoose has been promoted to Operations Director in recognition of his contribution to the business. He will continue to drive operational performance and continuous improvement across the site.

Production Manager Andrew Elliott works alongside Paul and oversees day-to-day production. His manufacturing expertise helps make sure Newburgh delivers the quality and reliability its customers depend on.

Quality Manager Adam Hadfield leads the company’s quality standards and processes. His work keeps Newburgh meeting the demanding requirements of customers in highly regulated industries.

Jonathan Todd rejoined Newburgh earlier this year as Business Systems Manager, returning to the company where he began his engineering career as an apprentice. He has led the implementation of the company’s new Factory Master manufacturing management system, which has improved production planning and operational efficiency. Jonathan was also instrumental in Newburgh achieving Cyber Essentials Plus certification in October 2026. The certification strengthens the company’s cyber security credentials and supports its ambitions in the defence and nuclear supply chains.

Heritage and future, side by side

The announcement caps a significant year for the business. During 2026, Newburgh returned to its historic name, invested in new systems and achieved Cyber Essentials Plus.

Matt Keeley said:

“2026 has been a big year for us. Going back to the Newburgh name was about honouring where we’ve come from, but our focus is firmly on where we’re going.

“We’ve got a strong, experienced team with the right mix of engineering knowledge, production expertise, quality management and systems capability to deliver on our ambitions.

“As an employee-owned business, our people are at the heart of everything we do. We’ll keep investing in our capability, improving how we work and strengthening our position in key markets, particularly nuclear and defence.”

Founded in 1939 and employee-owned since 2022, Newburgh Engineering provides advanced precision machining, fabrication and manufacturing services to customers across a range of demanding industries.
